"I had been in here once before on vacay and loved it, but was just tire-kicking at the time. They were awful nice regardless. This last visit, David showed me a previously loved Deering Sierra tenor banjo they had in on consignment. It was awesome, and I walked out with yet another instrument under my arm for what I thought to be a very fair price.\n\nI agree with the other review here; could you find a beginner uke (or nice guitar for that matter) at a slightly lower price at a big box music store? Perhaps. Will you be getting the personal customer service from knowledgeable employees while supporting a wonderful small business in Black Mountain? I think not.\n\nStop by and take a look. It's a great little store and I didn't feel pressured in the slightest. Great experience overall."
This is a guide to help you identify your guitar's place and year of manufacture by the instrument's serial number alone, based on the information given on the unofficial Epiphone wiki here, which mostly seems down nowadays. There are basically four distinct formats, also called identifiers, in w...

The Epiphone book then skips to 1986 for price lists (1986 was the first Epiphone price list after Norlin sold Gibson and Epiphone to Henry J), but it no longer shows a PR650 in the price list.
Howdy all, I recently bought a Taylor 117e a few months back for use as a simple gig guitar. I’m actually taking the Taylor to My favorite music store later today to play it back to back against the new Inspired by Gibson Custom Banner Epiphone J45, which has a Baggs Element VTC. Anyone here buy ...
In 1960, Gibson put in another big building at the north end of the Gibson plant and moved all of their Epiphone people out of the start up facility into it (the official address was Bush Street). By 1966, Epiphone sales amounted to some $3 million a year. One of the most significant dates in Gibson/Epiphone history, however, is 1965.

I just received my new Epiphone "Inspired by Gibson" J-200 in vintage natural (purchased from Sweetwater). The build quality, finish and setup are all outstanding - but I'm underwhelmed with the unplugged sound. It sounds so dull and lifeless that if I had picked it up and played it in a guitar s...
