India's newly implemented Cell Broadcast (CB) emergency alert system has been temporarily halted following an advisory from the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

There have been no reason given for the suspension but have suggested that technical and procedural reviews may be taking place after the system encountered glitch.
