The second largest full moon of 2025 appears higher in the night sky than any other full moon throughout the year, this December 4.
Look up tonight as a Supermoon will rise into the sky. Nicknamed the Cold Moon as winter weather brings colder temperatures, the moon will only be 221,813 miles away from Earth.
This month will bring some striking celestial sights, including one of the year’s best meteor showers and a glowing Saturn-moon pairing.
The next full moon will reach its peak at 6:14 p.m. ET Dec. 4. It'll be a supermoon, a full moon that occurs closest to the Earth in its orbit. December's full moon will occur at today at 6:14 p.m. ET. Clouds are predicted to bring poor viewing conditions across the Panhandle and North Florida around 7 p.m.
