Since year 2000 EpiData Software has developed from securing the principles of Epi Info V6 to an independent documentation oriented system with several translations and numerous downloads.

The basic file for EpiData work is now a single EpiData EPX project file, which contains field definitions, labels and controls during entry (specification here).

EpiData Software is from EpiData Entry version 2.0 and above released by the non-profit organisation "The EpiData Association" Odense, Denmark (In Danish: EpiData foreningen).

EpiData Analysis is based on the same principles as EpiData Entry. If you properly define, document and verify data with EpiData Entry, the definitions are also available in EpiData Analysis.
